The span and impact of mining is wide from the technologies we are accustomed to having at our fingertips that define our general standard of living, to medical advancements, transportation, renewable energies, and more. Simply put, mining has allowed humankind to advance.

As a society, we are too far advanced and too accustomed to our lifestyles to forego the advancements that mining has helped bring to the forefront.

• Coordinate expertise to address climate change issues
• Develop cooperatives driving the transition to renewable energy sources 
• Support the development of sustainable green technologies

Leveraging the advancements that mining can and should be a central part of the discussion and Alaska is poised to play a vital role.
